Vietri is an ideal staging point for a visit to the Amalfi Coast. Small but big enough to have all the amenities. Good choices of restaurants and cafes. Easy access from transport by train from Naples (nearest airport) or further afield. We travelled from Rome by train into next door Salerno. Great ferry services along the coast are great to use for a lunch or even early dinner and visit to any one of several lovely villages along the coast. Remember all these villages are built on the side of a cliff. Hills and steps are going to be a constant experience! If you like the hills and steps there are great walks in the area which will reward with views like nothing seen before.

Great base away from the madness of the rest of the coast.
Great base away from the madness of the rest of the coast. Train, bus, ferry to everywhere and you come home to a place thats more like a village than a tourist nightmare. Elevator to your beach. Staff are great. Room was good. We were in an upper room away from the functions and disco which was good. ( we went to the disco and had fun and fitted in as 60 yr olds). Loved the place and didn't have to contend with the rest of the mad over crowding of the rest of the coast. And tyhe parking guys are really cool.

Vietri is a very popular seaside town and gets very busy.
Vietri is a very popular seaside town and gets very busy. There are mainly ceramics and some clothing shops. Restaurants are plentiful and very reasonable with the fresh fish dishes excellent. There is also a restaurant which provides Pizza takeaway.
Parking is very difficult as is common on the Amalfi coast. If you take a car try and pre-arrange private parking in advance.
The beach is ok but quite a long downhill walk so the return journey is tedious. We chose to drive to Maori which is much more accessible and a better beach.

This is a wonderful and amazing little getaway nestled into the cliffs that overlook the Mediterranean and the beach below. HIlaria, the hostess is wonderful and helped us arrange tours, recommended restaurants and provided us with a driver for trips around town.
The rooms are large and airy and the bed is SO comfy. There is a full kitchen should you feel the need to cook.
The breakfast buffet is huge with many different options and choices, but the breads and local cheeses and meats were exceptional.
The stairs are steep but there are not nearly as many of them as at other places and the restaurant, Acqua Marina, right at the bottom of the stairs is one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever eaten in (and I'm a Chef).
We've only been home a month and we're already talking about going back next year.

The hotel stay was mediocre.
The hotel stay was mediocre. I highly recommend renting a car. The hotel does not have a shuttle service. We had to take a bus to the hotel once we figured out the system as well as asking locals. That was the worst part. Once we got to the hotel we realized due to its location and proximity in relation to things to do, we were going to have a hard time getting around. Taxis got to be expensive taking them back and forth. The hotel staff was nice for the most part with the exception of one member. She seemed upset there was a language barrier. Overall, the hotel was ok for the cost. I wouldn't stay again, however.

Newly refurbished so the quality of everything is brand new and hotel like but with a lovely character.
Very close to restaurants and lovely shops of Vietri.
The shower is so beautiful and kitchen is fully equipped. 2 spacious bedrooms with beds and desks in both.
Washing machine and big dishwasher and fridge were a big plus. The owners family went out of their way to provide a cot, high chair and toys for our little boy.
The communication with a host was excellent, nothing was a problem. Highly recommend , fantastic stay!
Excellent place up on the hill side, on a quiet and very romantic street with srunning and extraordinary views to the sea and to neighbouring towns and hill sides. Ibterior is perfect, Nice kitchen, romantic space. Friendly meighbours and small convenient stores at hand. We Parked our car on the street little bit up the hill. There is a pedestrian street with steep stairs to the city Vietri Sul Mare, stunning views, over orange- and lemontrees but it's a bit of a workout, great for beginning the day. Perfect location, really.
It’s a brand new boutique resort. Exceptionally clean, quite and beautiful place. This place has it all ocean view, car parking and amazing breakfast.
Beds were comfortable, i couldn’t have asked for more. Blue boutique owners, even helped me rent a
Scooter -( Andrea Scooter rental ) was very helpful, made the whole process easy, brought the scooter to the hotel and pick it up when it’s all done, Andrea even helped me to book a personal tour for 2 people for Pompeii and airport drop off.
I would definitely book it again.
A great 2-floor apartment that has everything you need, including a garden next door ideal for a romantic dinner with an ocean view. The location was a bit tricky as there is one bus that comes by and you have to check the times to make sure you are waiting to catch it. However I think this may characteristic of Vietri sul Mare as many of the houses are located on high slopes along narrow roads, making it not very walking-friendly. But what a fantastic town with the most wonderful people, and definitely worth the visit.
Franco was a fabulous host very pleasant and very helpful. The apartment was spacious ,spotless and well equipped. The views from the outside terrace were fabulous .Very convenient for catching the ferry to other towns along the Amalfi coast.Vietri sul Mare was a lovely town ,not overly busy or commercialised like some of the places along the Amalfi coast.Trains were very reasonable ,we caught a train from Naples down to Vetri, also to Salerno and Pompei.
Very convenient for local salumeria shops , restaurants and the ferry to Amalfi coast . Outdoor balcony with table and two chairs was most welcome to enjoy early morning coffee or late afternoon drinks . Free mini bus connects upper & lower parts of Vietri sul mare . Alessio was very attentive to our needs & communicated quickly . California Beach club within a few metres of the apartment was a lovely place to relax on the beach and swim .
Excellent! Valentina and her lovely parents were simply wonderful hosts- so kind and helpful! The location was good for us- near the train station, with a balcony and lovely view. The bed was comfortable, apartment is decorated beautifully. Breakfast was at a nearby cafe- very nice. We were only here one night but wished we were here longer. Vietri was a lovely town. Would love to return and would definitely stay here again!
The house is spacious and comfortable. It is located in a small community just a few minutes outside of Vietri. There is a bar/cafe next door and a couple of small stores nearby. There is a small parking lot in front of the apartment. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. There is a large, modern bathroom with good shower. We enjoyed our stay here in spite of a few minor inconveniences.
Our apartment was amazing, it had an outside shower and beautiful views to the mountains and the sea. We did not have a car, which is hard but not impossible to visit the area. The centre of Vietri is just 15min by foot, and there's a bus stop nearby to go to Vietri's train station and to the main towns of the Amalfi Coast. Babu was super helpful and kind! I totally recommend this quiet and amazing place!
The owners are very nice. They are waiting for us outside the building and explained to us the facilities well with full of patience. The room and toilet are big and clean too. There are fridge and stoves to use. The bed is comfortable and the breakfast provided is good. The location is near to the sea and by walking we can reach Vietri Centre. It is definitely worth the price!
The rooms are absolutely gorgeous!! I had the BEST view from my room. Super clean, location is easy to get around in vietri sul Mare, and there’s many places to eat and shop near by. WiFi is super fast too which is always a plus for someone traveling and working remotely! (Look at picture from the view from my room! GORGEOUS!)
central location , clean, beautifully decorated apartment with all the facilities inside, good coffee in the coffee machine ☺️The owner was super helpful and friendly, helped us with the bags and sent all the information about the town via whatsup. Recommend this apartment for those who want to see Vietri Sul Mare.
Amazing view from the room. Wonderful pool facilities. The spa was fantastic. Very handy shuttle service to Vietri. The front desk staff were excellent for arranging taxis when we needed them. The hotel very kindly provided us complementary champagne on arrival as this was our honeymoon.
Casa maggio was a nice place and large enough for 2 couples (2 bedrooms, 2 baths). Its location is close to the ferry landing in Vietri, and there are nice restaurants around it. It is a walk to the historic center, so either buy a bus pass or put on your hiking shoes.
We enjoyed the personal hospitality of Marco and his father when we arrived. The villa was stunning both inside and out, the views were fantastic and we really felt as if we were home but in Vietri sul Mare. There wasn't anything we didn't like.
The location of Ambrosea was excellent, right next to the train station and the town of Vietri. Excellent for getting around and seeing the town. The views are also beautiful from the rooms.
