Located in Banaue, 10 miles from Banaue Rice Terraces, TAM-AN HOTEL BANAUE provides accommodations with a terrace, free private parking and a restaurant.

We were told not to expect too much from accommodations in Banaue, so we were very pleasantly surprised to enjoy the very spacious, clean room, with the wonderful view over the valley from the balcony. The staff, and especially Jenifer did everything to help in the usual Filipino smile from the heart. I am sure anyone booking this hotel will be very satisficed and I am happy to recommend Tam-An Hotel, they were excellent value for money.

Hiwang Native House Inn & Viewdeck, hotel in Banaue

Set in the mountains of Banaue, Hiwang Native House Inn & Viewdeck features panoramic views of the Banaue Rice Terraces, an on-site restaurant, and an evening entertainment with bonfire.

I wanted to experience an authentic Ifugao hut, and I did! It was fun and interesting, and restful, because there was electricity inside to charge phones and lights all around the hut, even going to the bathroom at night. The bathrooms were clean and modern but separated from the hut, which is as it should be. Otherwise, if the hut had a bathroom inside, it would not have been an authentic experience. The views were wonderful, and the food in the restaurant was fine. It was very peaceful and quiet at night, that we overslept! The owner and her family were very nice and welcoming. I'm glad they are in the hospitality business because I was able to fulfil one more thing in my bucket list...

The location was absolutely amazing! It was so great to be able to stay in the town in the middle of the rice terraces. Cristina and her family could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. From the food, to the tours, to coordinating with us ahead of time for transportation to their place; they were incredible. This place is a great value-very simple, but exactly what we were looking for! We are so grateful for Cristina and her family for being the best hosts and we highly recommend this location! We hope to come back sometime :)

Come during the dry season of the country, rain and roads would be closed on wet season and be tricky. It shows how such group of people in the mountains were able to leave such a legacy , using limited resources to thrive , not forced labor but simple hands work for years, the result lasted 2000 years till now with nature’s help, Amazing!

We ordered a tour guide (excellent) from the hotel, as well as a Jeepney, both of which may have been cheaper from the Tourist information desk 500 meters from the hotel. The tours are magnificent, as you would expect from the 8th Wonder of the World

The things I liked most about Banaue was the rustic appeal, the breathtaking views, the amazing landscape that is so different from what you see in the low lands, and the temperature. This is an alternative place to escape the summer heat and a great way to see one of the wonders of the Philippines and how our native people made a way to survive and flourish in the mountains. Just take note, if you are driving, the roads are narrow with lots of sharp and blind turns. Make sure your brakes work very well as the inclines are quite steep going to and leaving Banaue. Also be careful driving at night. Roads are mostly not lit and heavy fog severely limits visibility. Just drive carefully and adjust speed as needed.

    The view was spectacular.

The view was spectacular. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Hike was very challenging for me and my wife. We only made it 1/16th of the way up. My three boys and my daughter-in-law were able to make to the to the top and to the water falls. My boys said they would come back again.

    Awesome !

Awesome ! From the get-go, we were picked up from the bus station & was allowed to check-in early. The cottages are Ifugao huts and modernized for comfort. Plenty of room inside. The sight-seeing tour in the pm was wonderful. We also lighted a bonfire in the indoor fire pit at night. Very cool. The hike to the Batad View Deck, then down to Tapiyah Falls & back up another trail is a very strenous hike, but oh, so rewarding!!! The scenery was breath-taking! Walking thru 2000-year old rice paddies was an unforgetable experience! This tour takes the whole day including the drive to & from Batad. The hike to the Bogyah Hot Springs is an easy one. A soak in the hot sulfur water then a dip in the icy river was very therapeutic, specially after the Batad hike. *(save this for the last day, there is enought time to make it to the 5:30 pm bus back to Manila.). The staff also let us check out late. They were very helpful and courteous ! The tours run and personally catered by Elvis were fantastic! *(he also sings, of course 😊) I would definitely go back and stay longer!
