The location is stunning! There is a restaurant overlooking the river, and it is very lively in the evening, but gets quiet at 10pm when the generator gets turned off and the lights go out. We had a fun time. The tour was exceptional! Transport from Lenquin is paid for by the accommodation. It is on the back of a pickup truck along steep dirt roads, so quite the adventure...

The property is in a beautiful location right on the river. it’s a two minute walk to the entrance of Semuc Champey so there’s no need to shuttle from Lanquin in the morning. Also since Semuc Champey is so close to hostel you can beat the crowds to the park and get an hour or two pretty much by yourself.

if you want to go to semuc champey,  this is the place. You are literally steps away from the entrance so you can be the first one to do a short little hike and get some amazing photos and also get in the water before anyone else or any other tours start.  if you don’t like crowds stay here for the convenience of having this place all to yourself before everyone else gets there.  there is a pool to relax in and the river is just steps below you as well.

Loved it! We were in a private room with a private bathroom. The room was clean, and the view was beautiful. The place is well maintained. Stuff are very friendly and funny. I was a bit sick and they asked how I felt when they saw me and switched hellos each time we saw them. Carlos in the reception was acting also like entertainment stuff (in a good way) and was really nice. Location is perfect! Just above the river and short walking distance to any attraction around.

Location location location. It's a literal 5 minute walk to Semac Champey. The day tour that you want to do (I would go to Semuc just for this tour) starts from the Hostal. The room was actually a separate 1-room house with a bathroom and was very clean. Staff is friendly. If you're prepared for a bit of inconvenience (see below) then this is a great place to stay.

The location is just perfect! Only 200m by foot to the entrance of Semuc Champey. The property is very nice, with the pool and the terrace overlooking the river.

The location and the staff were outstanding! The hotel is within walking distance of all the activities. It has a lovely view and good food. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Carlos even helped to arrange a birthday cake for my son. He spoke perfect English. It's a lovely place. We highly recommend it.

Remote location - 5 mins walk from the Sumec Champey park entrance. You can't stay any closer! Hotel is 100% Guatemayan-owned! Given it's remote location, it is well-built and well-staffed. Loved staying right beside the river in a wood cabin with a front porch. Pool and dining area on-site. The staff were great at arranging tours and reliable transportation at fair prices. Sumec Champey pools are truly gorgeous!! Even in rainy season, the pools are turquoise!
